Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center

YOGIBERRAMUSEUM.ORGLocated in Little Falls, New Jersey, The Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center opened its doors in 1998 to honor the career of National Baseball Hall of Famer and NY Yankees great Yogi Berra. While exhibiting artifacts from Berra’s career, the museum continues Berra’s legacy with educational programming, exhibitions, and events using the values Berra lived by as a touchstone.
Our initial work included designing and developing a custom WordPress website, online store, and donor database integration. Since 2018, we continue to expand upon the work we do for the Museum, enhancing the website to support new initiatives, including bringing their in-museum programming to the digital space when they had to temporarily close their doors during the pandemic.
For their annual gala, the Yogi Berra Museum Awards, Flyleaf has also designed invitations and materials, and we are currently in the process of launching a pilot program we designed which teaches young learners CAD skills.
The main components of our work have been to:
- Engage supporters and visitors of the Museum with an easily navigable website featuring bold, simple, and accessible designs
- Digitize the museum experience when in-person visitation wasn’t possible
- Expand the museum’s reach for educational programming and materials

Engage supporters and visitors of the Museum with an easily navigable website featuring bold, simple, and accessible designs
- Refresh the design of the website by evaluating user experience and site navigation for how to best organize and feature these new program areas in order to promote and drive traffic plus prioritize reopening announcements
Digitize the museum experience during temporary closure, and ease the process of a return to in-person visitation
- Design a virtual exhibition as a companion to the physical one, “Discover Greatness: An Illustrated History of Negro Leagues Baseball,” through bold graphics, easy-to-follow timelines, and engaging interactive multimedia elements.
- Research and design an integrated auction platform that would keep users on their website to bid on auction items to help support the Museum in lieu of an in-person fundraising event. All payment transactions were conducted on the Yogi Berra website.
- Develop enhanced ticketing tools so the museum could sell timed tickets and other new events through the website.
Expand the museum’s reach for educational programming and materials
- Build out a comprehensive online curriculum on the topics of Race, Immigration, Women in Sports, and Financial Literacy with interactive lesson plans featuring multimedia, fun activities, and tools for educators and at-home learners alike.
- Design an entire online program in which students will have the opportunity to develop CAD skills and learn lessons related to engineering and design while gaining valuable insight into the world around them and their own potential career paths
